Altered wooden spool -Pion Design-

Hi all!

Made this wooden spool with the 'Alma's Sewing Room' collection from Pion Design.
I absolutely love this collection with all the tags and cut outs!

I cut a small triangle out of the clock so it would fit on the top of the spool.

An earring as lovely little dangle.

This flower was also made with these papers.

Time Flies - Scrap around the World challenge

Hi all!

Here is my take on the Scrap Around the World Challenge this month.
Totally inspired by the bright colors!

Time sure does flies! Seems only yesterday when this girl was born.
She was such a cutie then and she still is!!
Made the background with my fav technique:
Glueing tissue paper with some Mod Podge,
coloring with some acrylic paints,
spraying some water to make the colors run,
when dry, tone it done with some gesso.
For the letters I used some puffy paint.

Cut the swirly flourish in half

Some mini colored photo's as embellishments.
Flowers are from Prima and 13arts.
Clocks are also from Prima.

anniversary gift

Hi all!

Made this canvas for my best friend as an anniversary gift.

The papers are from the gorgeous 'Vintage Spring Basics' collection from Maja design:
All the flowers were made with these papers.
Distressed the papers and the flowers with the handy
and great distressing tool from Ingvild Bolme.
All the chipboard is from Imaginarium Designs.

Isn't that heart shaped mini bottle the cutest?!!
Found this mini at an annual hobby event.

Found these fabric buttons at a local Brocante fair.

Some embellishments are just waiting for that special project!

Birthday gift canvases

Hi all!

Just love to make these birthday canvases!
I think they are much nicer than a blank money filled envelope.
Today I want to share two masculine ones.
The metal clip can hold the money.

Started this canvas by glueing down some bits of paper from the Engraver colllection from Prima.
Glued some tissue paper with Mod Podge and glimmermisted the colors.
Toned it down with some gesso.

And here is the other masculine gift canvas:

Lots of metal and paints!
I used two clothes pins to hold the money.

layout for Yiscka

Hi all!

Made this layout for my youngest daughter, Yiscka.
My 'little' girl: sweet, cute, lovely, precious, adorable and most of all, beloved!
Photo was taken in Paris in 2008, where we had a fabulous time together visiting the Orangerie with the gorgeous paintings from Claude Monet.

Started with painting the background with blue and green glimmermist.
Made some splashes with distress stains, just dabbing the bottle firmly to the paper.
Added the lettering with fiber paste using a template.
Randomly applied some extra spots with the fiber paste.
Layered some pieces of paper and started to embellish the page.

The papers are from the Sweet Baby collection from Pion Design:

We love Greece!

Hi all!

A big project today!
Found this photo frame at a local annual market and thought it would be perfect
as a wall hanging in my living room.
It measures 48x26cm / 19x10inch.
These photo's are a great reminder of all the lovely and sunny days we had in Greece!
Just love the weather, the scenery, the beautiful views, the people, the food,
our trips (walking, boat and even the bike trips up the hill!lol)....oh well..
just LOVE it all and we can't wait for next year!

For the background I mixed some gesso with sand.
Added some blue paint and blue and brown glimmermist.
Used lots of flowers, some handmade, some got a coat with gesso.
All the beautiful chipboard is from Imaginarium Designs.
The bike from Prima was waiting for a long time to be used.
