family album *Maja design*

Today I want to share this family album cover.
When my mom and dad passed away they left us lots of lovely and very precious photo's.
I have scanned each and every one of them and burned them on CD's for us kids and all the grandkids as a wonderful memory of their family heritage.
For a long time I wanted to put them in albums and finally I started my family album.
Planning to do lots of pages with photo's from both sides of the family.
Would be quite challenging though, to make flat pages, but I give it a go!
To be continued! :)

Made this album with the Vintage Autumn collection.
For this book I used the following papers: No. II, V, X, XI, X, XVI and heritage sheet.
The book handle and key are from Scrap-Unlimited.

A rolled flower with No.V
The clock is from Artemio and the clock handles from Prima.

All the clocks were cut out from the XVI sheet. Just love this sheet!!

Can't remember this metal family plate, it was in my stash for some time, but it was perfect for this project.

"Memories", a piece from the bottom strip No.X

After layering all the strips of paper, I added some texture with instant filler and a stencil.

Also added some stamens and dew drops.

Enjoy your day!

together - layout sketchabilities #133 and 13arts

13arts and sketchabilities are teaming up!
Here is my layout I made using this months sketch.
Used an old photo of my girls which it's very precious to me.
I wanted to make it simple and let the photo be the star of this project.

This project was based on the #133 sketch from sketchabilities

I used a 13arts stencil to make the texture with flowers.
Also used a mix of gesso and sand for extra texture.

Outlined the flowers with a white pen to let them stand out more.

The twigs from 13arts with the decorative ribbon jets.
I cut the ribbon jets and painted them with gesso.

The lovely fabric flower, the resin flowers and the handmade turquoise thread flowers.

A lovely piece of resin from Scrapberry's.

february challenge *13 arts*

My entry for the february challenge at 13 arts.

The background of this mini canvas was created with two colors of paint. While the paint is still wet, I used the end of a paintbrush to create some texture. Finished it with the white and black Splash ink.

For this challenge you need to use three products
I used: Splash! - paint - modeling paste (with a little bling!) :)
For more information about this challenge:

Some close-ups:
The flowers were colored with the paints as well.

winter alarm clock *13arts*

Today I want to share this altered alarm clock with you.
Made it with lots of 13arts products, including the "Fly away* paper collection.

Started this project with the decoupage technique, glueing bits of paper with acrylic gel medium.

After the papers, I made a mix with gesso and glass filler and
randomly applied it on the clock and the bells.

Used Chalk blue light for a touch with my favorite color.
Also added some splatters with Splash ink white and silver.

Lots of embellies from the 13arts store!
The white pearls on the left clock (and on the bottom) is a piece of a string christmas decoration.

Tulle flower and chipboard branches.

The wooden 'winter' writing got a coat of gesso.
